Endless Pool’s E-550 is an excellent example of user oriented design. Unlike most swim spas, this simple, straight-forward layout increased the size of the swim bowl by moving the entry into the front corners and integrating the seating. This achieved three very important things.:

1. Reduced backflow into the swim zone by removing the geometry at the back of the pool and increasing the interior volume.

2. Enlarged the user’s area for kicking so they no longer come into contact with the steps.

3. Provides a flat wall for push-off and allows for vertical resting zones with integrated hydrotherapy.
