The Aquaterra and LifeSmart brands are sold through separate online channels but were required to share a common shell platform and core components, making meaningful brand differentiation both challenging and critical. To address this, a new secondary embossing process was developed for the extruded exterior panels, enabling the integration of brand-specific patterns without additional tooling investment and strengthening visual distinction between the two lines.
The resulting design language incorporates subtle elevation changes that facilitate easier entry and exit while also increasing usable bartop surface for items such as drinks and mobile devices. All five shell configurations were fully prototyped and user-tested to validate comfort, accessibility, and usability, while minimizing risk and potential tooling revisions prior to production.
